Hayley is the Executive Director of The Mental Health Justice Project. She is a passionate advocate for equal and equitable access to health care, with a deep commitment to the mission of MHJP. Prior to co-founding MHJP with Mala and Pat, Hayley worked as a paralegal at Rosenfeld & Rafik, focusing primarily on health insurance and long-term disability cases. During her time at Rosenfeld & Rafik, Hayley supported her clients through every stage of their case, and successfully assisted them in obtaining crucial disability benefits and health insurance coverage for treatments ranging from mental health residential treatment to emergency surgeries. Hayley has prior legal and advocacy work both in the US and abroad, having previously worked with the European Public Law Organization, Health Care for All, and Health Law Advocates, among other organizations.
Outside of her love for MHJP, Hayley loves good coffee, bad TV, and every dog she’s ever met (but none more than her cutest coworkers, Angus and Rosie).
