outreach & education
Mental health is something that impacts each of us. Unfortunately, the insurance system can prevent many people from accessing the care that they need, or receiving the benefits that they deserve. Let’s make a difference together.

Assistance where it matters most
The Mental Health Justice Project works in partnership with community organizations, youth programs, mental health care providers, law firms, charities, and other advocates to expand access to mental health care and legal representation related to health insurance and disability claims. Our outreach efforts focus on education, collaboration, and practical support aligned with our mission.
We provide trainings and educational programs on health and disability insurance issues, including appeals and claims processes, access to mental health care, mental health parity requirements, employer roles in negotiating insurance coverage, and the rights of insured individuals. We also collaborate with grassroots and professional organizations to identify communities facing barriers to mental health services and to provide guidance on navigating claims and advocating for access to treatment.
No one should be forced to go without mental health care or disability benefits because of cost or administrative obstacles. We welcome partnerships with organizations and individuals who share our commitment to improving access and accountability. Please reach out to us if you or your organization are interested in helping us make a difference.
